The word sha qi if literally translated means noxious qi or evil qi or inauspicious qi. In this article I am writing about internal sha qi’s.
How is sha qi represented in our environment?
Besides recognizing external sha qi, it is essential to also check a property for internal sha qi's. Check the shape of the house, doors, layout of the house, if the house has long narrow dark corridors. How this sha qi effects the property depends on its location and the direction.
However there are a few basic sha qi’s that can be avoided for every property.
For those who have already invested in a property with these drawbacks it is essential to follow the remedies to reduce the negative effects.
A few basic pointers to check in the layout of the house
- The front and back door should not be in a line. Good qi cannot be retained and rushes out the back door.
Remedy - Keep the back door closed at all times.
- The front door should not open to a window. Good qi cannot be retained and rushes out the window.
Remedy - Keep the window closed at all times.
- Front door should not open directly to a staircase.
- The shape of the house should be regular. Irregular shaped house turn positive qi into destructive qi.
- Ceiling should be flat and not too high or low.
- Long dark corridors are an absolute no-no.
Remedy - Keep the corridor well lit and airy.
- Staircases should be well lit (preferably natural light) and spacious, narrow dark staircases are undesirable.
- Large windows are undesirable as they allow fast movement of qi to flow in and out of the house.
What does sha qi do?
If the sha qi is located in a good area then it reduces the qi quality of that area as well as the quality of feng shui of the property. If the sha qi is located in a bad area then it increases the inauspiciousness of that area and further reduces the quality of feng shui of the property. Here I would like to add that all sha qi’s are not bad at the same time, it is only during certain years, months and days that the sha qi might effect the property in turn effecting the people living in or using the property.
