In this article I am deviating from feng shui and my focus is on helping others. Helping your planet, helping the animals, helping deserving children, helping the under priviledged, helping the aged.

Before I go further on I would like to ask you what is your entertainment budget for a month. I am sure it will be more than Rs.500 (approx. USD 12). Now what is your monthly budget for giving or donating? Do I hear you mumbling?

Every month we spend Rs.500/- on something or the other that is not necessary or already in excess Rs.150/- for that extra shot of whisky, Rs.200/- for another fairness cream, Rs.300/- for another pair of shoes or sandals. This month I urge you to save Rs.500/- yes save and use it for your planet, your home.

It doesnot have to be anything fancy but something which touches your heart. If you feel for the tigers then do for the tigers, if you feel for children then do for the children. If you have a local instituition you want to support go ahead and do so. If possible involve your children, let them learn from example. You will be teaching them the valuable lesson of compassion.

I hear people ask "how can I help?". You could help by donating money or raising donations for the organization, by giving your time, by spreading the word, donating old clothes and books.

I urge you to do something, don’t shake your head and say “there is no hope in this world” when YOU are the hope.
