MBTI, Big 5 Personality or any other psychometric evaluation tests can help a firm to select a suitable employee for a particular job. In other words the HR department knows that the candidate is capable, but does it know if the candidate has the ability to carry out their assigned tasks and execute plans. Is the HR department sure that the ‘key’ personnel they are hiring is not going to change jobs within the next six months? Or worse is going to face marital problems and stop performing at work?

In Asia many politicians, superstars, business tycoons have in-house feng shui and bazi practitioners, who are given the tasks for employee selection, site/property selection, date selection, calculate the outcome of meetings and mergers etc. Most Asian business men do not like taking chances. Now let me give you a scenario your firm is about to launch a product on which it has spent thousands of dollars on research, advertisement, marketing etc. A project manager is selected to handle all pre-launch and post launch requirements.
