There are times when I get a concerned mother either as a client's wife or a client herself. The areas of concern are generally studies, health and future.
A study of child's bazi reveals the negative and positive attributes of the child. Accordingly adjustments can be made in the child's bed and desk position to enhance the positive qualities. In my experience I have found certain common character traits that exist in children and upon checking their bazi the prevention or remedy is generally the same.
1. A Problematic Child -
A problematic child is one who is destructive, disruptive, fights easily and hyperactive. For these children using the fu wei direction according to the personal gua number has improved the child's demeanor. The child becomes less hyperactive, is no more destructive or disruptive but directs more energy towards learning. The child is calmer yet full of energy and is playful.
For e.g. If your child is gua no. #1, his/her fu wei direction is north. Try to make him/her sleep in this direction.
1.1 - Incase your child's personal auspicious directions and your houses auspicious location are same, then using the fu wei location of the house will give better results.
1.2 - Supposing your child's auspicious directions and houses auspicious locations are not same, but similar -
e.g. Child's gua number - 1
Auspicious directions (Personal gua number)
Sheng qi - Southeast
Tien yi - East
Yen nien - South
Fu wei - North
Houses auspicious locations
Sheng qi - East
Tien yi - Southeast
Yen nien - North
Fu wei - South
The directions personal auspicious and house auspicious location are not exactly the same, but they are similar. In such cases using one of the house auspicious location especially yen nien or fu wei will be beneficial. Illustration below.

1.3 - Your child's auspicious direction and houses auspicious location do not match at all then you will need to hire a professional to do a study of your house, the child's bazi and prescribe remedies or changes.
2. A Sick Child -
The child has less appetite, does not want to eat and is under weight. She/he constantly suffers from health related problems. Generally in such cases tien yi is the most useable direction.
For e.g. If your child is gua no. #1, his/her tien yi direction is east. Try to make him/her sleep in this direction.
2.1- Incase your child's personal auspicious directions and your houses auspicious location are same, then using the tien yi location of the house will give better results.
2.2 - Supposing your child's auspicious directions and houses auspicious locations are not same, but similar -

3. An unsociable child
The child does not like to mix around, is unsocial, does not know any manners, is always getting into fights or being misunderstood. He/she maybe withdrawn or is totally rebellious. In any case using yen nien direction is helpful.
For e.g. If your child is gua no. #1, his/her yen nien direction is south. Try to make him/her sleep in this direction.
3.1- Incase your child's personal auspicious directions and your houses auspicious location are same, then using the yen nien location of the house will give better results.

4. Lethargic Child -
The child is lazy and does not want to take part in activities. He/she is generally laid back and likes to laze around. The child is healthy but lazy. In such cases using the child's sheng qi direction according to personal gua formula is effective. However, a word of caution, sheng qi is extremely strong qi many people do not need and cannot take the strong qi of sheng qi. If your child becomes hyperactive try using fu wei direction.
4.1- Incase your child's personal auspicious directions and your houses auspicious location are same, then using the sheng qi location of the house as the child's bedroom or study will give better results. In this case use the child's fu wei direction for sleeping or studying.
4.2 - Supposing your child's auspicious directions and houses auspicious locations are not same, but similar -
